Not sure how spend your Halloween week? Is the sight of decorations and children dressed in scary costumes just not cutting it for you? Would you rather not have to carve another pumpkin?
Then why not see how brave you really are by taking a tour of one of Ireland’s spookiest buildings, Wicklow’s Historic Gaol.
The former prison, which has been investigated for spirits and ghosts by Paranormal Researchers on numerous occasions, was built in 1843 and received international fame when it appeared in a 2009 episode of Ghost Hunters International.
As well as experiencing the chills of the undead first hand, you will also receive an in depth and insightful education on what day to day life was like for inmates of the prison and the hardship of the 19th century Ireland penal system.
Day Tours operate on a daily basis, but for the true ghost hunters among us, why not brace yourself and tackle the famous Halloween Horror Night Tour on Friday, November 1.
Tours will commence every 15 minutes from 7pm-8.30pm. The cost is €17 per person and night tours are for over 18s only.
The question remains – Are you brave enough?
