Remembrance Mass

This years Remembrance Mass  will take place on Tuesday November 19th.at 8pm. Please tell family and friends.

Shoebox Appeal

Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal – if anyone would like to fill a shoebox for children in need you can drop them into the Parish office, Scoil Nioclais Naofa or contact Shona on 087-6884879. Wallets for your €4 donation and a list of suitable items are availavle in the parish office.

Sympathy

Sympathy to the family of  John Ryan, Grangebeg  Dunlavin, Co. Kildare. John who was predeceased wife Margaret is mourned by his son

Michael, daughters Paula and Arlene. daughter in law Fiona, son in law Robert, granddaughter Kate, sister Mary, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends. John’s funeral took place in Gormanstown on Tuesday October 15th.2019. May John rest in peace.

Mandalas

Every Thursday morning we meet in An LAR to draw mandalas , paint tiles or create patterns .We use pencils ,paints ,markers ,compasses all under the guidance of Bernie Sheridan from Wexford.She supplies the materials . We chat and have fun and have coffee afterwards . Fee for the classes from 11am to 1.30pm is €10 . Drop in and try it . Contact Bernie 086 078 2563 or Florence 087 1205497

Trad Music Session

A trad music session takes place on the first Tuesday of every month in An Lar Cafe. Whether you play or just want to listen it is well worth popping in to it. Free of charge. Children friendly. Cosy fire. Next night will be November 5th.2019.

Trad session every Wednesday night in Burkes Pub from 9.30pm.

Dunlavin Friendship Club – meets in  Dunlavin Parish Centre every  Friday,  from 3pm–5pm. New members are most welcome.

The Irish Cancer Society – is looking for volunteers to drive patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments in all public hospitals nationwide. Volunteers will need their own car but all expenses are paid. If you have 2 free days a month (Monday – Friday) and an active email address we would love to hear from you. Green View Bar and Restaurant

Green View Bar and Restaurant is now open at Rathsallagh Golf Club. Opening Hours – Wednesday ad Thursday 12 noon to 8pm, Friday -Saturday 9am -9pm, Sunday 9am-7pm.  Sunday Lunch served 12 .30 to 4pm. Parties for all occasions will be catered for.

A Book Club is starting in Kilcullen Parish Centre on 20th September, running every 3rd Friday of the month. The evening book club will be held at 7.30pm for ages 20-39 and the morning book club will be held at 11am for an open age group. The aim of both is to explore the inner life through books. Outreach Service

“There is a new domestic violence outreach service in West Wicklow provided by Saoirse Women’s refuge in Tallaght. We can offer confidential appointments providing support to women suffering from domestic violence in the community, including Court Accompaniment. The drop in clinics areas follows: Every Monday 9:30am-11:30am Blessington Library, Every Wednesday afternoon 2:30pm-4:30pm Seomra Imaal Hall Dunlavin and Every Friday 9:30-11:30am The equestrian/The Lawlor centre Baltinglass. Alarms

Dunlavin and District Forum are delighted to partner with Dunlavin Friendship Club in availing of a scheme being rolled out by Muintir na Tire.

This scheme allows for the provision of carbon monoxide alarms in houses that don’t already have them. Alarms will be provided and installed free of charge with a maximum of two per household.

This Muintir na Tire programme is aimed at persons who do not have existing alarms and do not have the resources to install alarms themselves. We would particularly invite those over 65 to avail of the scheme.
