Tidy towns
The results of the national competition were released on Monday 30th Sept. For the second year running we received a 16 point increase. We would like to thank everyone in the community for their continued support, hard work, and generosity, without it we wouldn’t have achieved this great result, it is very much appreciated. It takes a lot of hard work to keep the village looking well and we are always looking for new volunteers to come out and give us a hand, you don’t have to be green fingered, there’s a job for everyone, no matter what your skill set may be. Looking forward to continuing to work with you all again in the coming year and hopefully our efforts will reap the rewards again in 2020. Our work morning have recommenced, meeting in the carpark at 10am.
Pilates Classes

Acorn’s Pre School Hollywood

Hillbillies Football

Hollywood Bowls
The Club bowl every Tuesday & Friday nights in The Hollywood Centre between 8-10pm. New Members’ are always welcome, so come along and see what it is all about, it is a great way to spend the winter nights.
Music Under The Mountain

Sinead O’Brien Dance School

Adult Badminton

Juvenile Badminton

Hollywood GAA
Hollywood GAA Club Lotto draw results 16th October. The numbers were 14, 21, 23, 30. There was no winner of the jackpot. The sellers prize went the Marie Tutty 169. The €50 winners were Annmarie Murphy 133, Aine Byrne Bannagroe 512, John Byrne 891. The next draw for a jackpot of €12,200 will be held on Wednesday 30th October in Tutty’s. If you enjoyed Strictly Come Dancing and Lip Synch then we have a treat in store for you. Hollywood GAA will host a similar event on 7th March 2020. More details to follow soon. Thursday night juvenile training is finished for this year. Well done to all the children who came training and participated in the blitzes during the year, it was great to see everyone having fun with friends playing football. Enjoy the break and see you all again in March
Hollywood Walking and Trails Group
The Hollywood Walking and Trails Group meet every Tuesday evening in the lovely village of Hollywood at 7pm outside Tutty’s Pub. Our regular walks include the Hollywood Forest, White Bog and the Hollywood Loop talking in part of St Kevin’s Way to Church Mt.
We also have Wellness Walks for those who like a level steady pace; these walks include the Hollywood Glen, part of the Forest walk and the Hollywood Heritage Trail. Ideal walks for beginners and those who are building their fitness levels, or for people who simply want to walk for an hour and enjoy the flora and fauna along with the companionship of other walkers. Weekend walks take place once a month, the date and venue is confirmed by the team leaders in advance at our Tuesday walks. We had our first Saturday Hike on the 15th of June to the summit of Church Mt, this walk was very well attended by the group, the weather was ideal for walking bright sunshine and a nice refreshing breeze, the group took some fantastic photos of the panoramic view over King’s River valley and the plans of Kildare. We are very fortunate to have four experience team leaders available to guide our walks. Alan and Trina Burke and John and Ann Fitzgerald are very familiar with the trails and hill around Wicklow. They have extensively study St Kevin’s Way behalf of the Hollywood Community Forum, their feedback has be invaluable to the upgrading and improvement work being undertaking on this important Pilgrim Path.
The Hollywood Walking and Trails Group welcomes all age groups interested in walking, our philosophy is ‘We don’t stop walking because we are grow old; we grow old because we stop walking’. We also encourage families to come on our walks, children and teenagers less than 18 years under parent supervision and any organisations and clubs who would enjoy an evening out walking. Currently we don’t have a joining fee so come along and enjoy the benefits of walking, getting fit, meeting new people and more important being part of all Hollywood has to offer, a connection with nature to rebalance ones equilibrium in this busy world, beautiful village, delightful scenery, community sprite and pride of place.

Bingo takes place in the Hollywood Centre every Thursday night at 8.30pm.
