Wicklow’s very own West End superstar Rob Vickers will be returning to the Olympia Stage this Christmas to play the role as the panto villain in “Cinderalla – The Story of Cinders & Her Fella”.
It will be the Wicklow Town native’s third year in a row performing in the famed Olympia panto.
Vickers is perhaps best known for his two year stint in the London West End show Les Miserables, playing the lead role of Jean Valjean in the show’s 25th anniversary production.
On the domestic scene, Rob has starred in productions such as “Jesus Christ Superstar” as Jesus Christ, and in “Michael Collins” as Joe Emmet, the right hand man to Collins.
Vickers is no stranger to the vocals, as he received worldwide success in Christmas 2012 with “A song for Lily-Mae”, Tiny Dancer. As recently as Christmas 2018, he released his very own original single, “Christmas all over again”.
Vickers has also performed for the President of Ireland and Irish music legends, U2. He has performed on all corners of the globe, in Europe, America and as far away as Australia.
If you are heading to the Olympia Panto, don’t let the Wicklow man’s powerful voice and charming smile fool you into believing he is the good guy of the show.
