Roundwood Sheepdog Trials will take place on Friday the 1st of November commencing at 8.30am in the Squares, Baltynanima – signposted from the Lough Dan Road. Usual classes apply. For further information please call  PJ on 086 3781347


Roundwood Folk Group are on the look-out for a guitarist/musician to help them in the New Year with Saturday night mass.  Very flexible not every Saturday & not a big commitment but very enjoyable.  Please contact Helena on (086) 3000194 if you would like to do it.


Badminton has resumed on a Tuesday morning from 9.30a.m  All are welcome.


 Roundwood and Moneystown Parish Sale of work will take place on Sunday December 1st from 12 noon till 4 pm.  All our usual helpers, and of course new volunteers are asked to come along to run this event.   There will be a short meeting after the 6 pm Mass this Saturday 26th at the back of the Church.

The Roundwood Parish Hall Annual General Meeting will take place on 29th of October at 7.30pm


A date for your diary.  Roundwood Golf Society will hold their annual table quiz night in aid of Roundwood Senior Citizens Christmas party in Kavanaghs Vartry House on Friday the 25th October at 8.30pm.  Your support & donations for spot and raffle prizes would be gratefully appreciated.


Sunshine Fitness will be starting ‘Baby and Me’, ‘Golden Oldies’ (for aged 65+) and ‘Curvy Whirlies ‘ (for plus size women) fitness classes in the parish hall from September 17th.  Please contact Caitríona on 0876035780 for more information. 


Roundwood WhizzersWalking Group are back in action meeting at 7pm this Wednesday at the Coach House car park.  All welcome to walk at your own pace for approximately one hour.

Nancy O Brien and Phil Power were the overall winners for North/South on Monday 14th October, 2nd Maria Magee & Judy Skates and 3rd Ger Lenihan and Rowena Brady.   T here were joint winners in the East/West section, John Loscher & Catherine McGillycuddy & Paddy O Brien & Margaret Bolger shared the top two places whilst Clare Sally & Claire O Connor took 3rd place


John Loscher continued his winning spree this time with partner Kay Plunkett by securing 1st place for North/South on Friday 18th October, Jane Cronin & June Digby were 2nd and Maria Magee & Jim McNamara were 3rd.    Noeleen Redmond and Margaret Bolger shared 1st place for East/West with Teresa Leahy and Marion Davis whilst Nancy O Brien & Catherine McGillycuddy were 3rd.


There was no winner of the lotto jackpot last week.  The numbers drawn were, 13, 17, 19 & 20. There were eight match three winner Bridie Gilvary, Phyllis McMahon, T.J. Ferguson, Tanya Cahill, Helena Carstairs, Patricia Carroll, Freddie Fanning & Mary Regan  Next week’s jackpot will be €15,700.

Congratulations to the Roundwood Scout Group on winning an award at the PURE Mile Gala Evening last night for their work on the Wicklow Way shelter area at Paddock Hill near Drummin.


The Roundwood & District Community Council AGM will take place on the 30th of October at 8pm in Roundwood Parish Hall. All members of the community are welcome to attend.


A Halloween Candlelight Walk will take place on Sunday the 27th of October at 6pm starting from Roundwood AFC grounds on the Bray Road. Suitable for the young and not so young. Fancy dress optional with some seasonal surprises along the way!! Cost €10 per family. This is a fundraiser for the Roundwood Christmas Lights. Sorry for mentioning the C word but your support will be much appreciated!!!


There will be a dance in Roundwood Parish Centre on Friday 25th October with music by Jimmy Hogan.  All are welcome


Our weekly set dancing sessions continue in Kavanagh’s Lounge All are always welcome – whether you have ever or never danced before  Session starts at 8.30 til 10.30 and cost is still only €5 for a goodnight of exercise.


The Roundwood Cancer Support centre is now up and running and is open in the Parish Centre on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10a.m until 1pm & they are currently looking for volunteers if you could spare some time in your week it would be greatly appreciated.  Please feel free to pop in for a chat we will be happy to help.  If anyone needs to make any enquiries outside these hours please telephone our confidential phone number 087 6062072

A 45 Card Game takes place every Tuesday night in Moneystown Community Centre starting at a new time of 8pm for the winter months beginning on the 30th October  Teas served. All are welcome
