Wicklow County Council has performed well in key areas in the latest Local Authority Performance Indicator Report, conducted by The National Oversight and Audit Commission.
The Council performed particularly well in the area of social housing, as the report details that the local authority owned 4410 dwellings at the end of 2018.
Just over 2.5% of these houses were left vacant and that average rehousing time for vacant properties was 26 weeks,
The report also details the litter and pollution statistics for the county. 8% of the county was deemed unpolluted or litter free, 59% was seen as slightly polluted, and only 6% percent of the garden county was classified as significantly polluted.
However, Wicklow County Council fell one percent below the national average in terms of paid sick leave at 2.78%.
The average self-certified paid sick leave was also below the national average.
