Aughrim set Dancers are holding their Christmas Party in the Community Hall Aughrim on Thursday December 5th from 8.30pm-11pm. Tea and refreshments will be served. A raffle will also be held with lots of prizes. Admission €6. All are welcome.

Congrats to the three Lambert boys who together with their cousins the Harper boys combined to represent Derry Gaels in the Junior County Scór last Sunday in Avondale and emerged winners.

Light up Aughrim
The ‘Light up Aughrim’ committee are holding a coffee morning in the Grain Store Aughrim on Friday November 29th from 9am – 12:30pm this is to help raise funds for lights for the Christmas tree, Donations would be gratefully received by any member of the committee. The Christmas Tree lights will be switched on November 30th at 6:30 pm with Santa in attendance for the little ones. We hope to see you all there.
Christmas Raffle
Michael Dwyer Pipe Band is holding its annual Christmas raffle on Saturday November 30th after the lighting of the Christmas tree at 6:30 pm where Santa will take time to meet all the children. Raffle prizes are 1st Prize Monster Christmas Hamper, 2nd Prize Bottle of Brandy and Box of Chocolates, 3rd Prize Bottle of Whiskey, plus lots more prizes, Tickets are on sale from any band members or local shops in Aughrim.
Christmas Flower Arranging
Aughrim ICA are holding a Christmas flower arranging demo in the ICA room the Old School, Aughrim on Wednesday morning December 4th at 10.15. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
Aughrim Fair
On Sunday December 8th the well established Christmas Fair organized by the Aughrim Business Association will take place in Lawless’ Hotel from 11am to 5pm. Many small local businesses present their crafts and services and attract a lot of customers. Active Retirement
We would like to say a big thank you to the transition year students at Rathdrum Community School and their teachers for the lovely welcome we received last Thursday for Bingo. A lovely time was had by all. Christmas lunch is on Friday, 13th December in Hunter’s Hotel. The cost is €35. Please put your payment in an envelope, with your name at our meeting on Tuesday December 3rd, please. Also our special collection this year is for a local boy who badly needs assistance dog, your contribution in an envelope at the meeting, or at the Christmas party. As usual we will have a Kris Kindle and some raffle prizes at our party.
Successful children’s table quiz
What a fantastic evening. 18 tables and over 80 children. Thank you to all the children who came along to our quiz tonight and to their parents for supporting. To our wonderful area committee for all their hard work and to Rachael McGrane and her company All That Jazz for sponsoring the prizes. It was very much appreciated.

Lotto
The numbers: 1, 14, 17 and 24 were drawn in this week’s Aughrim Sports club lotto November 18th. The jackpot was not won and there were no match three winners. The jackpot is €3300. The weekly lotto supports Aughrim Camogie Club, Aughrim GAA club, Aughrim Rangers Soccer club and Aughrim sports complex. People who support the weekly lotto are lending support to the local sports clubs who are very much part of the community.
Christmas Cards
A signed Christmas card with a beautiful winter image of our Church is now on sale. Cards cost €2 each and all proceeds will go towards Church upkeep. The cards are available after all Masses or from any member of the Parish pastoral council.
