Carnew notes week November 4th

The committee of All Saints Church would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended and supported their annual bazaar on 25th October, to all those who donated items for the various stalls and helped on the night, your support is greatly appreciated.

Carnew Musical Society – Oklahoma

The Countdown Oklahoma will be staged by Carnew Musical Society in St. Brigid’s Hall, Carnew from Monday 25th– Saturday 30th November 2019. Rehearsals are well underway at the moment and what a show it promises to be.  Sponsorship and Priority Booking Tickets for the show are now available from committee and cast. Ellen Volunteers to travel to Fiji with Vessa  

A coffee morning will be held in Liz Doran’s house, Burrow, Ballyellis to help with the fund raising for Ellen Doran’s charity trip to Fiji in July 2020.

The coffee morning will take place on  Wednesday the 6th of November between 9.30 am and 2pm. All welcome.


Limerick Chamber choir in association with the MICKS charitable foundation presents Of Stars and light with special guests Conor Prendiville, Tenor and Eoin Scandinavia, piano, members of the Quaid family in Shillelagh Church of Ireland on 9th November at 8pm. Carnew Christmas Lights Committee would like to say a big THANK YOU to all who supported them at their recent Morning Coffee/Afternoon Tea fundraiser.

We had a great time meeting and chatting over a cuppa with all those who came to support us. Everyone was so generous with their donations, both on the street and at the event, and we are delighted to say approximately €1000 was collected on the day.

Just a gentle reminder re Christmas Lights Donation Envelopes – anyone who wishes to donate, however big or small, can still do so by leaving their envelopes into Carnew Training & Development Centre.
