The Rathdrum Christmas lights switch on gets underway this Saturday, 30th November, and promises festive fun for all the family! It’s always a special event in the town and celebrations kick off on Saturday at 4:00pm in the Market Square. DJ Albert will be in attendance with Christmas tunes to spread the Christmas cheer.
There will be lots to keep everyone happy from music, presenting the winners of the Children’s Coloring competition with their prizes, carol singing, face painting and of course Santa’s arrival will be eagerly anticipated.
This year the Christmas lights will be switched on by Mick Byrne, gold medal winner for Ireland in 5 Nations Cross Country and one local child drawn from the Coloring competition entries.
On Sunday, there will be a Christmas Family movie night in the RDA hall in Rathdrum at 5pm
This is an opportunity for families to relax and enjoy a family favourite Christmas movie. Entry is €3 per child (including a treat bag) and Adults are free.
The Rathdrum Christmas lights committee would like to thank the volunteers, residents and businesses of Rathdrum for their continued support.
