The Bridge Tavern in Wicklow Town have donated a whopping €1,400 to Wicklow’s Tidy Towns team, a great cause that the popular pub, restaurant, and hotel have been vocal about.
Just last year, The Bridge Tavern donated €850 to the group in support of their work.
“The Bridge Tavern feels the work Wicklow Tidy Towns do throughout the year is so valuable to the town and to all the businesses located in the area.
“We raised €500 through our fundraising on the night of The reg and this was matched by The Bridge Tavern bringing the total raised to €1000.00. As the winners of the Singing Pubs we did a re-run of the competition and raised a further €400.00.”
Tidy Towns Teams are invaluable to their communities as they work tirelessly to ensure that their towns are looking their very best.
While they do not receive much in the way of funding, donations such as this one made by The Bridge Tavern are vital to keeping Tidy Towns afloat and allowing them to keep doing the good work that they do.
