Wicklow director has first feature film released on Amazon Prime

Wicklow film director Robert Manson has had his first feature film released on Amazon Prime.

Robert graduated from the National Film School, Dun Laoghaire (2008) and co-founded of Annville Films (2007-2012). His graduate film, The Silver Bow, won the Taylor Art Award (2008) and travelled the world with screenings in over eight countries.

Robert has written, directed and produced one feature and more than a dozen short films. His short films have been screened and broadcast regularly nationally and internationally at major festivals and on TV.

Robert’s debut feature film Lost in the Living shot on location in Dublin and Berlin (developed through MEDIA funded ENGAGE) had its world premiere at the Achtung Berlin Film Festival in April 2015, where it was presented with the ‘Best Director’ award.

The film was later awarded finishing costs by the Irish Film Board and was picked up by German distribution UCM.ONE and released theatrically in the summer of 2018 and now on Amazon Prime.

Robert set up the production company Ballyrogan Films in 2015 and has two new feature films currently in development, Holy Island and The Motte Stone. Both projects will be filmed in Wicklow in the coming year.
