Yellow rain warning extended to Wicklow

Met Eireann have today extended its most recent yellow rain warning to Wicklow after strong winds and heavy rainfall battered the garden county overnight.

A Status Yellow alert was issued for Kilkenny, Wexford and Cork yesterday, and has seen Wicklow and Carlow added this morning.

Met Eireann have said to expect “spells of heavy rain during the period with spot flooding likely.”

The warning will remain in place until 6pm this evening.
