A GoFundMe page has been set up to replace the Defibrillator that was taken from its unit and dumped in a school grounds in Rathnew on Friday night.
The page was set up today by Anton Clancy who said ”
Our public access AED located in Merrymeeting Rathnew was stolen and later found vandalized and dumped in a local School. It is disgusting to think that such a vital piece of emergency equipment would be damaged like this. Wicklow community first responders who look after and service the equipment are looking for your help to replace this. The community have really rallied behind us and we have been inundated with messages of disgust for what has happened and huge support also.
so we have decided to set up ‘Go Fund Me’ page and try have the AED replaced as soon as possible. So we are calling on anyone who would like to support us by donating any amount that you wish, every euro helps.
