The Status Yellow Snow and Ice Warning issued by MET Eireann on Saturday has been extended until 10am on Monday morning.
There were flurries of snow throughout Wicklow today with snow remaining on higher ground.
Commuters on Monday morning are being advised to use caution as heavy frost is being forecast.
Further showers overnight. Again some will be wintry, especially on higher ground, but at lowers levels also, mainly in northern parts. The showers will become isolated by morning. Breezy or windy for a time with fresh to strong and gusty southwest winds developing widely. Winds will moderate towards morning and it will become cold. Lows of zero and minus 3 Celsius with a sharp to severe frost and ice on untreated surfaces.
Forecast for Monday
Tomorrow, Monday, will start cold and frosty with icy stretches. The day with be largely dry with sunny spells and isolated showers. Afternoon highs of 3 to 6 Celsius generally in light to moderate southwest breezes but milder near the south coast.
