Wicklow Motorsport driver to race in Formula 4

Baltinglass Motorsport driver Max Hart will be partaking in the final round of the Formula 4 Championship at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, after an impressive season in Leastone 1000 in the UK.

The 18 year old was named a finalist for the Motorsport Ireland Young Racing Driver of the Year 2019 earlier this year, having secured P1 finishes at Castle Combe and the iconic Silverstone Circuit.

The people of Wicklow will be able to watch Hart negotiate the circuit live on Eurosport from December 13-15.

Speaking about the announcement, Hart commented – “After a fantastic season racing the Leastone 1000 In the UK I have been given the opportunity to race formula 4 at the Sepang international circuit for the final round of the championship. I am delighted at this unique opportunity and can’t wait to drive this amazing F1 circuit. The race will be televised live on Eurosport tv.

“I will be heading to Malaysia straight after the Motorsport Ireland Young Driver Of The Year awards ceremony. Anyone who would like to come onboard as a sponsor for this event would be greatly appreciated.

“A massive thanks to my long term supporters Selco Hygiene Supplies Ireland and Adapt Paper Products for helping me to make this possible,” said Hart.

FIA Formula 4, also called FIA F4, is an open-wheel racing car category intended for junior drivers. There is no global championship, but rather individual nations or regions can host their own championships in compliance with a universal set of rules and specifications
