SPLIT THE POT 
The lucky winner of €246 in our Split the Pot draw for Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew was Pauline Levingstone . Congratulations. 

The sellers prize winner was Leah Doran who won a €10 voucher for Victors and the lucky dip winner was Abbey Finnerty Congratulations.

Enrolment Form for September 2020

Enrolment forms are now available for those wishing to enrol in September 2020.

 If you know of anyone wishing to have a child enrolled in Ballyellis please inform them that these forms are now available. Please contact the office on 053 9426159 or email the school at ballyellisns@eircom.net if you wish to have an enrolment form sent out or call into the school to collect form.

Ballyellis NS – Split the Pot

Winner of “Split the Pot” on Friday 10th January 2020 is Raymond and Avril Lancaster, Ballyconran winning €158.    We thank everyone for supporting “Split the Pot”. Envelopes can be obtained from the School or any Parent and from Ashling Walsh after Sunday  Mass in Askamore Church.. Draws will take place every Friday morning in Ballyellis School.  LITTLE ACORNS PLAYSCHOOL REGISTRATION NIGHT 

Little Acorns Carnew Playschool  will hold their registration night on Thursday 16th January from 7-8pm in the Little Acorns Playschool. It is strongly advised that anyone wishing for their child to attend in September 2020 to attend on the night  as places are limited, we operate on a First come first served basis. All forms must be completed in full.

GAA lOTTO

CHAIR YOGA, Carnew Community Care.  8 classes from Tuesday 21st January 2020.  10am to 11am.


This is a gentle exercise class for seniors aiming to improve flexibility, strength and mobility.  Chair yoga can also help promote balance, co-ordination and improved overall health and well-being.  €8 per class.  For more information or to book a place, please contact Siobhán Rice on 086 8199498.

GENTLE YOGA CLASS, Carnew Community Care.  8 classes from Tuesday 21st January 2020.  11.15am – 12.15pm.
This class comprises gentle yoga stretching movements synchronised with the breath which promotes mindful awareness and reduces stress.  The pace is gentle and postures are modified.  Gentle yoga increases flexibility and strengthens muscles and bones while improving posture.    €8 per class.

WRITE FROM THE HEART 
An 8 week introductory course in the Healing Art of Mindful Writing will start on Tuesday 28th January at 10am – 11.30am In Transformations Studio, Donishal, Carnew , cost is €100 with a €30 deposit to secure your place.

Write from the heart – my healing art of mindful writing course is designed to help you overcome obstacles while discovering and experiencing the joy, peace and calm at the heart of your being.

It’s a simple yet profound mindful writing practice which is applicable, in a very practical way to everyday life and how you live it. It can also be enormous fun.

Tinahely GOAL Mile

 Thank you to everyone who supported the sixth annual Tinahely GOAL Mile on New Year’s Day. Special thanks to Sam & Colin Horan for hosting us at Murphy’s Hotel and Sarah Mulhall and Chloe Doyle from Tinahely CCÉ for providing the live music. So far we have raised a handsome €575.

TINAHELY WALKING CLUB 

The following are the walks for the next two weeks for Tinahely Walking club on Sunday 

January  19th is Coolmeelagh Loop. Level B, 14 km, 3.5 hrs. Meet Tinahely 10 am or Carnew Mart 10.30 am.

January  26th is Sean Linehan Loop. Level B, 11 km, 3 hrs, Meet Tinahely 10.15 am or Aughrim 10.30 am.

As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food & drink. Please check Tinahely Walking Club Facebook page for any changes to the scheduled walks.
