Notice for those who applied to be placed on the Electoral Register since February 2019.

If you are now only on the Draft Electoral Register,  you must apply for Supplementary Register.

That is,  if you wish to vote on 8 February 2020 in the General Election.

The Electoral Register for the General Election 2020 will be the one dated February 2019.

St. David’s Secondary School Annual Musical|Footloose The Musical

Tuesday,  21 January 2020 to Friday,  24 January 2020 @8 pm.

St. David’s Secondary School Greystones.

This is an exciting production,  a story of courage,  maturity and standing up for one’s beliefs.

Inspired by the iconic 1980s film starring Kevin Bacon.

Tickets are €8 and €12 and are available to the school office.

A small number of tickets will be available on the door each night.

Please contact your Community Guard and let them know of elderly or vulnerable persons.

This information will be very helpful if bad weather arrives.

The Guards can check in on persons who live on their own.

Hot Spot Music Club|Greystones Jazz Jam

Above the Beach House at Greystones Harbour Marina.

Come along to listen or play !!

All jazz instrumentalists and singers welcome.

Great opportunity to play with other jazz musicians.

Or to just come along and watch.

Please arrive early to sign in and ensure you get a chance to play.

To take part,  you need to be able to play at least one tune.

And then improvise over it.

Jazz standards like those from the Real Book series,  iRealPro app.

Piano,  drum kit,  mics and amps are in the venue.

However,  musicians are advised to bring their own amps and music stands.

This is a regular jazz session to develop and bring the jazz community together.

Whale Theatre|The Good Grief Project: A Love That Never Dies

In a world of strange silences and hidden anxieties, 

two bereaved parents search for a better way to grieve.

How do we grieve.  Why do we grieve.  And why are we afraid of those that do grieve ??

Jane Harris and Jimmy Edmonds’ son,  Josh,  died six years ago while travelling SE Asia.

They set off on their own road trip across the USA.

They wanted to find out why dying and bereavement are so problematic.

They find other bereaved families with stories of grief.

And they made a film about their work.

The evening gives voice to grief in ways that will move and inspire.

The film’s directors will be in attendance on the evening.

Questions and answers will follow the film’s showing.

Rob Strong Band|Legendary Rob Strong Celebrates 55 Years on the Road !!

Upstairs @The Beach House,  Greystones Harbour Marina.

He may be 72 years old this year,  but Rob Stong is still going strong !!

Derry native with the sensational blues/soul voice is celebrating 55 years on the road.

Not many Irish artists can claim to have continuously played for six decades !!

His son,  Andrew Strong,  became world famous,  starring in The Commitments.

Rob toured Ireland’s finest theatres last year with Don Baker,  to huge acclaim.

Now you can hear that same distinctive voice at The Hot Spot Music Club !!
