Fee Sustainable Community Gardening Course

Wicklow County Council are offering a free sustainable community gardening course to local residents with the kind support of Laragh Community Gardens.

This course, has been featured on RTE Nationwide.

Time will be split between, walks and talks, classroom discussions and practical sessions. Sessions will focus on improving community areas for biodiversity, alternatives to spraying planting for bees, the benefits of trees, wildflower gardens, urban food production, hedgerows and much more. Over 5 weeks from 10am-12pm, starting Mon 24th Feb, ending Mon 23rd March.

Wicklow Willow
Our spring courses are for improvers and beginners. The next available dates are; March 1st, 7th and April 19th. All courses are full day (9 am to 5 pm) and take place in the Brockagh Centre. They include materials, tuition, tea/coffee and lunch (with cake)! You will make and bring home your own basket on the day. Places are limited, so please book early to get the dates you want. Start Your Own Business Course

Glendalough Country Market & Car Boot Sales 2020      

Encouraging local and non-local producers of plants, vegetables, crafts etc. Our next event for 2020 will be on Sun 8th of March, open from 10am to 4pm. Bargains on practically anything from household items to garden additions, and even vintage or antique treasures. Vans must be booked in. Please pre-book indoor spaces early. Contact the Brockagh Centre on 0404-45600, email brockaghcarboot@gmail.com if you wish to book an indoor space or if you prefer to sell outside just show up at 8am on the morning.

Roundwood Variety Show

Evening Yoga with Viva                                                             

Viva’s yoga classes for beginners to intermediate on Tuesdays at 7pm (depending on nos.) in the Brockagh Centre. Improve your fitness strength and flexibility in a relaxing way. Wear comfortable clothes on the night and bring a blanket. Mats are available on the night. You can contact Viva on 086 3409629 for more information.

Walking  group in the Brockagh

On Monday mornings weekly at 10am join the Laragh walking group at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around Glendalough area for approximately one hour.

Citizen’s Information Clinic                                                                                                      

The Citizens Information Centre at the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh is open for information relating to your rights and entitlements from 10 am until noon on the first and third Tuesday of each month. No appointment is necessary for this free and confidential service.
