Juvenile GAA

Aughrim Juvenile Club held it’s medal presentation in the Aughrim Sports complex on Sunday last. Guests of honour were County Senior Football Captain, Dean Healy and daughters of the late Pat Bracken, Sarah and Aoife Bracken.

There was a great feel good factor to the occasion, with Donal Rice taking charge of proceedings and doing a marvellous job to boot.

The U14 All- Ireland Feile squad received their All- Ireland and County medals, with some touching presentations also made to Eugene O’ Brien, Sarah & Aoife Bracken, and to the backroom team involved in the Feile. Aine Lally received a bouquet of flowers for her great work with the Academy over the past number of years.

The U15 football team, the U12 football team, the U11 hurling and football teams, the U10 hurling team, The U9 and U7 Go Games teams and the Academy squads all received medals as a reward for all their hard work last year. The coaches were thanked for their dedication and the parents for their commitment. Then it was time for a nice cup of tea served up by some of our very dedicated ladies.

The club would like to thank all those involved in making the presentation a most memorable event, and would like to thank the Wicklow People for the photography. The club is looking forward to a successful 2020 and would like to wish the U15 football and U13 hurling teams every success in the Leinster leagues that are up and running at present.
