As usual, Greystones St. Patrick’s Day Parade will start at Park & Ride @12 noon.
Groups gather and assemble at 11.30 a.m.
Proceed up through the town, along Church Road, finishing at Victoria Road.
Reviewing Stand will be at St. Patrick’s Church of Ireland, Church Road.

Greystones Archaeological & Historical Society
Talk by Sean Laoide-Kemp
Landscape as Witness: Public Works Schemes of the Great Irish Famine
Kilian House Family Centre; 8:00 p.m.
Sean Laoide-Kemp is a free lance photographer.
He is a First Class Honours graduate from the Institute of Art, Design and Technology.
He is currently undertaking a practice-led Masters by Research in IADT.
Sean practices mainly in the genre of Aftermath Photography.
That is, photographing of dark events after they have taken place.
This particular genre joins together two of his greatest passions: History and Photography.
These can be seen in his ongoing project: Landscape as Witness.
This project aims to document the constructions built as part of the Public Works Scheme.
With reference to the Great Famine (1845 to 1852) in north Co. Clare.
The project consists of images taken of these constructions.
Accompanied by oral history and ethnographic accounts.
