Congratulations

Congratulations to Ann Marie Cagney on her appointment to the position of Assistant Garda Commissioner. Ann Marie is the daughter of Nellie O’ Sullivan and the late Sergeant Sean O’ Sullivan. She is wished well in her new role.

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to he family of Liam Mulcahy, Dunlavin, (  late of Nicker, Pallasgreen, Co. Limerick, who died on April 19th,  in the exceptional care of all the Team at Naas Hospital. Liam is mourned by his wife Lilly, daughter Laura, son Michael, sister Carmel and brother Jim, grandchildren Eppie and Dan and many relatives and friends.

 Liam’s funeral took place privately. May he rest in peace.

Death

The death took place of Tom Molyneux, (formerly The Decoy) last week.

Tom is mourned by his wife Wendy, daughter Katherine, sons Hugh and Stefan and many relatives and friends. Tom’s funeral took place in Dunlavin on April 21st 2020. May he rest in peace.

Change to Credit Union Opening Hours

To Reduce the spread of Covid-19 Dunlavin Credit Union will open  Thursday, and Saturday – 10 am to 1pm .

Laser payments can be made by telephoning 0596481071 Monday to Saturday 10am to 1pm.

St. Nicholas of Myra:

 ALL Masses (including morning Masses) are now suspended until at least April 19th.  The Parish Centre also remains closed but if you would like to get in contact please call 045 401871 as messages will be checked regularly. Please share and let family & friends know. Thank you.

Family Carers Ireland 

Family  Carers Ireland are seeking volunteers in Dunlavin and the surrounding area to give 1 o 2 hours a week to visit an elderly person in their own home who are experiencing loneliness and isolation. The Irish Cancer Society – is looking for volunteers to drive patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments in all public hospitals nationwide. Volunteers will need their own car but all expenses are paid. If you have 2 free days a month (Monday – Friday) and an active email address we would love to hear from you.
