Purple House Cancer Support Centre has launched Ireland’s biggest Doortraits Project called ‘Doors Closed Hearts Open’ to document this Covid19 period that will forever be marked in history.
Our aim is to create a gallery of 200,000 Doortraits to support the 200,000 people living with Cancer in Ireland today.
The project was the brainchild of Dublin 8 based photographer Katie Kavanagh whose nephew uses the services of Purple House.
The public are asked to get involved by taking a photo of their family at their front door, they can then send the photo to Purple House by email info@purplehouse.ie and it will be added to the online gallery.

When you take your photo, please Text PURPLE to 50300 to Donate €4 which will help Purple House to support Cancer patients nationwide in the following ways:
– Telephone Counselling by our team of Accredited Counsellors & Psychotherapists. (Call 012866966)– Hospital Transport for chemotherapy and radiotherapy – to ensure that patients still attend their appointments.
– The Provision of Food Hampers for patients who are isolating. To limit patients visiting supermarkets etc.
– Our Telephone support line (012866966) to ensure families living with Cancer are supported during this worrying time.
