Greetings from the community to the residents and staff of Silverstream Nursing Home, Dunlavin on doing so well in these tough times. It is very difficult not o have family and friends visit for the past two months. We keep everyone in our thoughts.
Runlavin is set to return this year but inn a different form than in other years. The annual 5k/10k fun run has transformed into a virtual event due to the pandemic. Joggers and walkers are being asked to lace up their runners and complete the event in order to pick up one of the new “ Runlavin “ medals.
The virtual Runlavin can be completed at any stage up until May 31st. Runners register on line at Pop up Races and complete the distance themselves following the public health guidelines.
Once the walk /run is completed, participants send evidence that they have completed the required distance undertaken to receive their medal.
The event is a fundraiser for Dunlavin Gaa club. Entry costs €14.50, and can be booked online. To register visit popupraces.ie/race/funlavin-5-10k-fun-run-virtual

If you would like to help us raise much needed funds by knitting small baby hat Christmas Tree decorations, you can download the pattern here. https://bit.ly/3fHw2gb
