Sympathy

Sympathy to the Metcalfe and Doyle families on the death of Maureen Doyle (nee Moynihan) who died in Celbridge last week. Maureen was a sister of Eileen Metcalfe (Crehelp) Maureen’s funeral mass too place in Celbridge. May she rest in peace.

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to Gladys Edgehill, Oldcourt, Dunlavin on the recent death of her sister Betty Salter. (Stratford) Betty’s funeral took place in Stradbally. May she rest in peace.

 GAA Grounds

Dunlavin GAA grounds have now reopened the gates to allow people use the walkway around the pitch.

The bottle banks are also re-opened.

Sympathy is extended to Mrs Bridget Whittle and family Donard on the death of Bridget’s sister  Sr. Celine McMahon (Presentation Convent, Mountmellick. Sr. Celine’s funeral took place in Mountmellick, may she rest in peace.

Little Brew Cafe

Best wishes to the owners of the new Little Brew Cafe which opened its doors on Saturday last. Lots of nice treats available, so pop i and support local business. Open8am to 3pm Wednesday to Sunday . Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Coombe Hat Appeal.

Calling all knitters! We know it is a bit early to start talking about Christmas, but we need your help. Such was the success of our Family Christmas Tree last year, we plan to create another tree this year AND sell hats for people to place on their own trees at home in honour of all of the children who have come into our lives. Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels continue to deliver meals on Wednesdays in the area. If anyone would like a hot dinner delivered to their home please telephone 0879693960.

Credit Union

Baltinglass Credit Union would like to ensure their Members that we are still there for them. 

If you are experiencing difficulty meeting your loan repayments, they have a Credit Control Team waiting to take your call.

For those staying at home, they have a phone/online service operating 6 days a week.

For those who need to call in, please do, as there is a counter service available each day (Monday – Saturday) for those who wish to transact on their accounts in person.

St. Nicholas of Myra:

 ALL Masses (including morning Masses) are now suspended.  The Parish Centre also remains closed but if you would like to get in contact please call 045 401871 as messages will be checked regularly. Please share and let family & friends know. Thank you.

Anyone who is over the age of 65 may apply for a Panic Button. If you are interested, or know of someone who may require one, the necessary application form can be accessed by calling 086-1020303.

Family Carers Ireland 

Family  Carers Ireland are seeking volunteers in Dunlavin and the surrounding area to give 1 o 2 hours a week to visit an elderly person in their own home who are experiencing loneliness and isolation. The Irish Cancer Society – is looking for volunteers to drive patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments in all public hospitals nationwide. Volunteers will need their own car but all expenses are paid. If you have 2 free days a month (Monday – Friday) and an active email address we would love to hear from you.
