The death took place last week of Patricia (Pat) Archbold, Church Terrace, Dunlavin
Pat was predeceased by her husband Christy, son Tommy and daughter Christine. Pat will be sadly missed by her family sons Kevin, Paddy, John, Gary and Alan, daughters Mary and Eileen, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Pat’s funeral took place in Dunlavin on July 3rd 2020. May she rest in peace.

Calling all knitters! We know it is a bit early to start talking about Christmas, but we need your help. Such was the success of our Family Christmas Tree last year, we plan to create another tree this year AND sell hats for people to place on their own trees at home in honour of all of the children who have come into our lives. Family Carers Ireland are seeking volunteers in Dunlavin and the surrounding area to give 1 to 2 hours a week to visit an elderly person in their own home who are experiencing loneliness and isolation.
Full training will be provided. A simple gift of time can make a huge difference in a persons life.

The Irish Cancer Society – is looking for volunteers to drive patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments in all public hospitals nationwide.
