HSE Launches Life Saving Innovative 24/7 Text Service|50808
New text service, first of its kind for Ireland.
New service will provide everything from a calming chat to immediate support.
Support for people going through a mental health or emotional crisis.
Crisis Volunteers are available for 24/7 anonymous text conversations.
Aim is to provide immediate support in the short term.
And to connect people to resources that will help them in the future.
This is a most welcome new HSE service.

Changing Lives Initiative New App on ADHD for Families
New app has been launched on ADHD to support families.
App helps families to understand what ADHD is.
And provides practical strategies and tools for parents to use with their children.
The App is particularly relevant for parents who have concerns about their children.

The App is also extremely useful for those working with children.
It helps them understand ADHD and how they might support children.
Children who have issues with inattention, hyperactivity or impulsivity.

Virtual King of Greystones Triathlon: 24 to 26 July 2020
Due to COVID-19, King of Greystons has gone virtual !!
You can now take part anywhere, over the course of three days.
Sprint triathlon includes 750 swim, 20 km bike ride, 5 km run.
Duathlon also available for non-swimmers.
Funds raised will go to the Gavin Glynn Foundation.

The national Tidy Towns competition will not be held for 2020.
However, WCC recognises that much work has been done in the county.

Motor Tax Public Counters remain closed.
Motor tax can be renewed online or by post to Wicklow County Council.

Special help now available for businesses.
Bray Recycling Centre Revised Hours
Bray Recycling Centre is open with revised hours.
Monday to Friday 10 am to 4 pm
Saturday 10 am to 2 pm
Please minimise visits to the centre and wait until you have a larger volume of waste.
Compressing the waste will help to minimise storage.
Please do not approach the staff and put materials into the bins themselves.
Staff will not be able to assist with carrying materials.
Nor take materials directly from the public.
Public entry may be stopped for a few minutes throughout the day to assist cleaning.
These hours will remain in place for the foreseeable future due to COVID-19.
