Gaa
Last weekend saw the latest round in the intermediate championship. We played Hollywood. This was a game between two well matched sides.

Hollywood got off to a quick start leading 1-03 to 0-02 after 15 minutes. Our lads worked hard and reduced the deficit to one point at half time.

The second half was blow for blow although we missed many chances. With time running out we were three points down but Alan Byrne showed why he has been a star player for years and scored a fantastic goal to send the game into extra time.

We got off to a quick start including a goal from Nevin O’Sullivsn which put us six points up. The game ended with a four point victory setting us up with a quarter final against Kilcoole.

The juniors also played their first championship match against Aughrim.
We had a one point advantage at half time, however we tired in the second half and went down by seven.

Annacurra GAA sends it’s sincerest condolences to our former chairman Sean Kavanagh and all his family on the passing of his father Michael. May he rest in peace.
