The death has occured of Joan O’Connell (neé Lynch), Sancta Maria, Gormanstown, Kilcullen and formerly of St. Martin’s, Griffinstown, Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath and Carrick-Finea, Co.Cavan.
After her final of many illnesses, bravely borne at Naas General Hospital, Joan died in the tender care of staff surrounded by her family.
A cherished wife of Timothy, adored mother of Paul (Dublin), Nuala (Limerick) and Ursula O’Toole. She is survived by her brother Pat Lynch (Dublin) and sister Pauline Olwill (Mullagh). She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by sister-in-law Sr Margaret Ellen O’Connell (California), son-in-law Padraig O’Toole, daughter-in-law Patricia Costelloe, grandchildren Sorcha O’ Connell, Martin,Joan and Sean O’Toole, Martin Hallissey, nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends and wonderful carers.
Joan’s funeral Mass took place in Kilcullen on Saturday August 22nd
with burial in Gormanstown . May Joan rest in peace.

Sympathy is extended to Tom Corrigan and family on the death of Tom’s daughter Mairead. Mairead who was predeceased by her mother Winnie is mourned by her Dad Tom, fiance George, sister Kathleen, brothers Liam, Johnny and Aiden, many relatives and friends. Mairead’s funeral took place in Crookstown on Monday August 24th, may she rest in peace.

Such was the success of our Family Christmas Tree last year, we plan to create another tree this year AND sell hats for people to place on their own trees at home in honour of all of the children who have come into our lives.
