Letterkenny Trip

A trip is being organised by Duffy Coaches in Baltinglass to Leetterkenny, Co. Donegal from August 16th for 5 nights.

Hollywood Mass Rock – is taking place on August 9th 2020, the pilgrimage will start in the Church car park at 7.00a.m. and will proceed from there to the Mass Rock at Corragh. The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Eamonn Walsh upon arrival at approximately 9.00a.m. All are welcome.

Registrations – are now taking place for an online Summer School ‘Theology, Spirituality and Religious Experience’ starting on August 10th 2020.

“Totus Tuus” – is a beautiful, colourful Catholic magazine dedicated to Our Lady, published every 2 months. It is traditional in faith, contemporary in presentation and relevant for all ages. Mobile Recycling will recommence in July. Blessington first Saturday ,outside Secondary School.(Naas Road) 10-12.

Dunlavin 2nd Saturday outside Church of Ireland 10-12.

Hollywood 3rd Saturday outside the National school 10-12.

Baltinglass Credit Union never closed, even in a crisis! Yes, they reduced their hours for a short time but they always welcomed New Members and provided loans for those in need. (*302 to be exact 😊)

 GAA Grounds

Dunlavin GAA grounds have now reopened the gates to allow people use the walkway around the pitch. No dogs allowed.

The bottle banks are also re-opened.

Little Brew Cafe

Best wishes to the owners of the new Little Brew Cafe which opened its doors on Saturday last. Lots of nice treats available, so pop in and support local business. Lovely selection of cheeses and chutneys available. Open8am to 3pm Wednesday to Sunday . Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Coombe Hat Appeal.

Calling all knitters! We know it is a bit early to start talking about Christmas, but we need your help. Such was the success of our Family Christmas Tree last year, we plan to create another tree this year AND sell hats for people to place on their own trees at home in honour of all of the children who have come into our lives. Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels continue to deliver meals on Wednesdays in the area. If anyone would like a hot dinner delivered to their home please telephone 0879693960.

Credit Union

Baltinglass Credit Union would like to ensure their Members that we are still there for them. 

If you are experiencing difficulty meeting your loan repayments, they have a Credit Control Team waiting to take your call.

For those staying at home, they have a phone/online service operating 6 days a week.

For those who need to call in, please do, as there is a counter service available each day (Monday – Saturday) for those who wish to transact on their accounts in person.

 ALL Masses (including morning Masses) are now resuming  The Parish Centre will be open  every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings   if you would like to get in contact please call 045 401871 . Family Carers Ireland 

Family  Carers Ireland are seeking volunteers in Dunlavin and the surrounding area to give 1 o 2 hours a week to visit an elderly person in their own home who are experiencing loneliness and isolation. The Irish Cancer Society – is looking for volunteers to drive patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments in all public hospitals nationwide. Volunteers will need their own car but all expenses are paid. If you have 2 free days a month (Monday – Friday) and an active email address we would love to hear from you. “There is a new domestic violence outreach service in West Wicklow provided by Saoirse Women’s refuge in Tallaght.

We can offer confidential appointments providing support to women suffering from domestic violence in the community, including Court Accompaniment.
