Laragh Badminton Club
The club held their annual draw at the Brockagh Resource Centre on Aug 11th with some great prizes. Winners of the draw in order were Mark Duffy who won the mega hamper followed by winners Jacob Delamere, Brendan Ward, Rhys Byrne, Barry Byrne, David Dowling, and Michael Riordan. Congratulations to the winners and thank you for all the community’s support.
Free Car Park In Laragh
Wicklow Co. Co. had opened a new free car park in Laragh. This is a secure facility with staff on duty, and shall be open daily between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. It is located beside the Woollen Mills and GAA grounds in Laragh and is well sign-posted.
The car park is perfect for hill walkers with access along the beautiful Green Road to Glendalough and all its walking trails.
You can even avoid the valley floor if you wish by following the orange trail up towards Derrybawn, the Spinc and Mullacor.
Three long distance trails also pass nearby – the Wicklow Way, St. Kevin’s Way and the Avonmore Way.
Our courses are for improvers and beginners this Autumn. All courses are full day (9 am to 5 pm) and take place in the Brockagh Centre.
They include materials, tuition, tea/coffee and lunch (with cake)! You will make and bring home your own basket on the day.
Places are limited, so please book early to get the dates you want.
Pilates Classes in Laragh
Pilates strengthens core muscles, improves muscle control, flexibility, strength and tone, as well as alignment and breathing. Zara Elkinson has trained and qualified through the STOTT Pilates Method of Movement.
This method combines modern theories of exercise science with spinal rehabilitation, which gives a safe and effective exercise that sees results and is accessible to all.

Tidy Towns welcome a new Government of Ireland campaign has been launched to tackle a growing littering issue which we have seen all too often this Summer in our woodland areas.
It is a joint initiative of the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), Waterways Ireland, Inland Fisheries Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, Sport Ireland, The Department of Community and Rural Development, the Office of Public Works, Coillte and Leave No Trace Ireland.
The national campaign aims to promote responsible outdoor recreation practices that will ensure a healthier and sustainable future for all. It calls on everyone to take care of the outdoors to ensure it is preserved for future generations.
The group are starting back August the 19th and now on Wednesday mornings 10.30 -12pm at the Brockagh Centre is for parents/guardians, babies and toddlers who get together, chat and play.

About Chair Yoga
Chair /Seated Yoga is suitable for those who find a regular yoga class too strenuous, are recovering from injury or illness or are generally less active and mobile. Classes from 11.30 to 12.30pm.
About Vinyasa Yoga
The practice will provide gentle stretching, improved strength and flexibility, as well as help students to find balance and calm in everyday life. Classes from 10am to 11.30am.
