AXA has launched a nationwide campaign to identify Community Heroes who go the extra mile to help others and their community.
The company is launching a nationwide search over the coming two months to get nominations of people whose work deserves to be acknowledged and rewarded. The winning entry will nominate a charity to receive €20,000 from AXA. AXA is Ireland’s largest insurance company and has previously run campaigns to celebrate Farm Heroes and to support workers returning to work in the Irish health services during the Covid 19 crisis.
Speaking today Antoinette McDonald, Director at AXA said; “This has been a really difficult year for many people but it has also brought out the best in people and we want to celebrate some of the heroes that have made life better for their neighbours and their local communities; people running errands for elderly neighbours, people helping to support children with disabilities, frontline workers making huge sacrifices to help deal with Covid 19. There are no shortage of heroes and this campaign will help to identify and acknowledge them.”
The competition is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland and all nominees must be aged 18 years or over at the date of entry. Further details can be found at www.axacommunityhero.ie. The closing date for entries is 31st August, next.
