Elevation School of Performing Arts returns on Thursday Sept 17th in the Sports Complex for its usual schedule of children’s classes in Acro, Modern Dance, Ballet, Musical Theatre and Drama and Contemporary dance. 

Some classes are nearly at capacity and pre-registration is required. Walk ins will not be permitted due to strict guidelines we have put in place.

Aughrim Community Group

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the St Patrick’s Day Parade draw did not take place until September 2 in the presence of Garda Billy Ryan. 

The prize-winners were as follows: Barney Quinn, hamper; Christy Brien, case of six bottles of wine; Ciara Byrne, five AWD bin tags; Sonny Hanlon, Bottle of Whiskey; and Johnny Murphy, ten bags of logs.  The organisers wish to thank all the sponsors and the ticket sellers. The amount raised was €415.  Aughrim community volunteers meet every Friday evening at 6 pm. at Tinakilly Bridge.  New volunteers are always welcome.

Come along for a chat and maybe a little work. Covid19 recommendations strictly adhered to.  A raffle with a difference to raise funds for materials and equipment needed for the upkeep of the town will be held on Saturday September 25th

Tickets limited to one thousand are on sale now with a prize fund of €900.


The numbers: 6, 8, 19 and 23 were drawn in this weeks Aughrim Sports club lotto on Monday August 31st The jackpot was not won. Match three winners were: Declan O’Brien and S.E.M. c/o Eithne. The jackpot is €3750.  People now have the facility to do the Aughrim Sports Club lotto online.  Just go to Aughrim Sports club lotto and take it from there.  

The weekly lotto supports Aughrim Camogie Club, Aughrim GAA club, Aughrim Rangers Soccer club and Aughrim sports complex. People who support the weekly lotto are lending support to the local sports clubs who are very much part of the community.

Town & Country Market

While we have all been enjoying the recent relaxation of some of the restrictions of late it is now more important than ever to continue to keep the safe distances & wear face covering into the future to enjoy the beautiful Organic fruit & vegetables, fresh country baking, oven fresh artisan breads, savoury pastries biscuits & eggs & all the crafts jewellery , wood turning & recycled bags , mats Quilts etc available every Sat morning at Aughrim Town and Country Market.
