Johnny Burke Remembered

On Sunday October 5th a seat to the memory of Johnny Burke will be unveiled on the Sean Linehan Walk. The unveiling will take place at 2.30 in the afternoon.  Light refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.

Yoga 

Aughrim Yoga Teacher, Yvonne Doyle, is now live-streaming Yoga and Meditation classes so you can join in from the comfort of your own home.  Schedule: Mon 9.30-10.45am & Wed 8.15-9.30pm Vinyasa Flow (suitable for those with some previous experience). Yoga for Beginners: Tues 7.30pm. Meditation & Yoga Nidra (suitable for all levels) Tues 9pm.

Drive in Bingo

Aughrim Camogie Club & Aughrim GAA Club are hosting a Drive In Bingo on Saturday 26th September at 4pm in The County Grounds, Aughrim. Gates will be open at 2.30pm.  €3,500 is the total prize fund (€500 jackpot).  Both clubs field many teams at juvenile and adult level.

Our clubs would really appreciate a big turnout and support from all. This should be a great fun afternoon for any family/group of friends.  Please spread the word.

Aughrim Community Group

Aughrim community volunteers meet every Friday evening at 6 pm. at Tinakilly Bridge.  New volunteers are always welcome. Come along for a chat and maybe a little work. Covid19 recommendations strictly adhered to. 

A raffle with a difference to raise funds for materials and equipment needed for the upkeep of the town will be held on this Saturday September 25th.  Tickets limited to one thousand are on sale now with a prize fund of €900.



Mass of the Angels

Mass of the Angels will be celebrated on Saturday evening October 3rd at 8pm in Church of the Sacred Heart Aughrim.  This special celebration of Mass will be offered for all the families in the locality who have lost a baby due to miscarriage, lost a baby around the time of birth or a child who died young. The mass is taking place this year later in the year than usual.   

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions, numbers attending church will be limited, so those wishing to attend in person please contact Daragh Byrne on 087-6107687 to confirm your place prior to the mass.  Extended families are invited to watch the mass on the church webcam via the link on www.aughrimparish



Lotto

The numbers: 12, 17, 19 and 28 were drawn in this weeks Aughrim Sports club lotto on Monday September 14th. The jackpot was not won. There were two match three winners: Seamus Lawlor and Fiona Holt. The jackpot is €4050. 

People now have the facility to do the Aughrim Sports Club lotto online.  Just go to Aughrim Sports club lotto and take it from there.  The weekly lotto supports Aughrim Camogie Club, Aughrim GAA club, Aughrim Rangers Soccer club and Aughrim sports complex. People who support the weekly lotto are lending support to the local sports clubs who are very much part of the community. 

Town & Country Market

While we have all been enjoying the recent relaxation of some of the restrictions of late. It is now more important than ever to continue to keep the safe distances & wear face covering into the future to enjoy the beautiful Organic fruit & vegetables, fresh country baking, oven fresh artisan breads, savoury pastries biscuits & eggs & all the crafts jewellery , wood turning & recycled bags , mats Quilts etc available every Sat morning at Aughrim Town and Country Market. 

The market is open every Saturday from 10-2 in the Pavilion, Rednagh Road.  Contact 086/0865838 for further details. 

Coffee Morning

A coffee morning in aid of Wicklow Hospice will be held in conjunction with the Saturday morning market on this Saturday September 26th.  Please support this worthy cause.  Covid 19 restrictions will be strictly adhered to.
