Aughrim notes week October 12th


Aughrim Yoga Teacher, Yvonne Doyle, is now live-streaming Yoga and Meditation classes so you can join in from the comfort of your own home.  Schedule: Monday 9.30-10.45a.m. & Wednesday 8.15-9.30pm Vinyasa Flow (suitable for those with some previous experience).

Aughrim Community Group

Community volunteers started work on Chapel Lane on Saturday last.  They intend to continue with this task on Saturday next to complete the job down to the main road.  New volunteers are always welcome.

The Mystery Prize draw was drawn on Wednesday last.  The prize winners were as follows: €500 Annette Keenan, Derrybawn, €200 Trish Corrigan, Fogarty Terrace, €100 Willie O’Loughlin, Tinakilly, €50 each to Anne Moore, Derrybawn and Monica O’Brien Reddenagh. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to all who contributed. Your kind support will be of great benefit to the village.


The numbers: 2, 3, 12 and 13 drawn in this week’s Aughrim Sports club lotto on Monday October 5th. The jackpot was not won.

There was one match three winner: Fiona Holt. The jackpot is €4500.  People now have the facility to do the Aughrim Sports Club lotto online.  Just go to Aughrim Sports club lotto and take it from there.  

The weekly lotto supports Aughrim Camogie Club, Aughrim GAA club, Aughrim Rangers Soccer club and Aughrim sports complex. People who support the weekly lotto are lending support to the local sports clubs who are very much part of the community. 

Town & Country Market

While we have all been enjoying the recent relaxation of some of the restrictions of late.

It is now more important than ever to continue to keep the safe distances & wear face covering into the future to enjoy the beautiful Organic fruit & vegetables, fresh country baking, oven fresh artisan breads, savoury pastries biscuits & eggs & all the crafts jewellery , wood turning & recycled bags , mats Quilts etc available every Sat morning at Aughrim Town and Country Market. 

The market is open every Saturday from 10-2 in the Pavilion, Rednagh Road.  Contact 086/0865838 for further details.
