Library Service

Literacy and Numeracy Supports for County Wicklow Schools from Wicklow County Council Library Service

Wicklow County Council Library Service continues to give access to literacy supports for children and young people attending school in County Wicklow. The literacy resources are provided free of charge to every school in the county and include Lexia and TTRS, both of which are hugely beneficial to young people struggling with reading, spelling, grammar and other components of  literacy and are often recommended by educational psychologists. Schools may contact the library service by calling 01 2866566 or emailing mbirchal@wicklowcoco.ie.

This year the library service is also making Mathletics which is an online numeracy support available to all schools in the county.  This resource allows the student to take their learning of mathematics into their own hands, develop problem solving skills and the ability to work independently. Schools interested in Mathletics may contact Treasa at TAOBrien@wicklowcoco.ie to find out about accessing licences.
