Aughrim notes week November 2nd


Aughrim Yoga Teacher, Yvonne Doyle, is now live-streaming Yoga and Meditation classes so you can join in from the comfort of your own home.

A new 6 week Yoga for Beginners Course, begins Tuesday November 3rd, for anyone new to yoga.  Schedule: Mon 9.30-10.45am & Wed 8.15-9.30pm Vinyasa Flow (suitable for those with some previous experience). Yoga for Beginners Tues 7.30pm.  Meditation & Yoga Nidra (suitable for all levels) Tues 9pm.

Mass of Remembrance

The Vigil Mass on Saturday evening 14th November at 8pm in Church of the Most Sacred Heart will be celebrated to remember parishioners who have passed away in the last year.  

Parishioners wishing to have a family member remembered at this mass should leave their name with a member of the parish pastoral council or Fr Diarmuid. 

Due to current Government level 5 restrictions family members will not be able to attend in person but are invited to watch on our Webcam on

The numbers: 15, 17, 19, 22 were drawn in this week’s Aughrim Sports club lotto on Monday October 26 th. The jackpot was not won. There were two match three winners: David Murphy, Ballycoogue and Mary Byrne, Ballymanus. 

The jackpot is €4950. 

People now have the facility to do the Aughrim Sports Club lotto online.  Just go to Aughrim Sports club lotto and take it from there.  The weekly lotto supports Aughrim Camogie Club, Aughrim GAA club, Aughrim Rangers Soccer club and Aughrim sports complex. People who support the weekly lotto are lending support to the local sports clubs who are very much part of the community. 

Christmas Cards for Sale

Cards are on sale now, cost of cards are €2 each or 3 cards for €5.  All proceeds will go towards the Church upkeep. 

The cards are available at the Church Sacristy at the following times: Weekday mornings 9.30 – 10.30.  Saturday evening 7.30 – 8.30 pm.  Sunday mornings 10 – 11.15 am.

The cards are also on sale from members of the pastoral council, Londis, Main Street and the Saturday morning market at the Pavilion.

Town & Country Market

While we have all been enjoying the recent relaxation of some of the restrictions of late.

It is now more important than ever to continue to keep the safe distances & wear face covering into the future to enjoy the beautiful Organic fruit & vegetables, fresh country baking, oven fresh artisan breads, savoury pastries biscuits & eggs & all the crafts jewellery , wood turning & recycled bags , mats Quilts etc available every Sat morning at Aughrim Town and Country Market. 

The market is open every Saturday from 10-2 in the Pavilion, Rednagh Road.  Contact 086/0865838 for further details.
