Carnew notes week November 2nd

As we face more uncertainty within our community, we in Askamore would like to brighten up everyone’s Christmas – Especially the younger members of Askamore who have undoubtedly sacrificed so much this year.

We intend to run a Christmas lights event & display in Askamore where we will light up the community centre and will have an outdoor Lights Display & 2 Christmas trees. We will be asking Santa Claus to arrive and switch on the lights in a festive convoy!

As part of this initiative we are asking local people & businesses to donate to help bring our illuminations to life.

We would love if you could help us to brighten up Askamore & add some festive cheer to our community ☃️

Seeing as we are going to be back home again for a few weeks and have a bit of time on our hands don’t forget you can be making hats, mitts, bootees and blankets for the premature babies in Crumlin and The Coombe Hospital. Or squares if you can’t do anything in that line or bereavement blankets 36×36 in White, blue or pink.
