Two Hours Free Parking on Saturdays for Christmas

There will once again be two hours free on-street parking on Saturdays before Christmas.

Free two hour parking will run from 28 November to 19 December 2020.

Please note that previous start date of 21 November was incorrect,  apologies.

However,  the usual parking regulations will apply.

That means no parking in loading bays or disabled parking spaces.

No parking on double yellow or single yellow lanes.

Special reminder that on street parking is free from 9 am to 10 am each day.

Free Saturday and Sunday parking all year round in GMD car parks.

South Beach Car Park,  Park and Ride,  Trafalgar Road Car Park,  La Touche Road Car Park.

This is a great opportunity to shop local and support our local shops.

Our local shops rely on all of us in order to keep trading.

Theft from cards and other vehicles is a common crime in Ireland today.

Ideally,  property should not be left unattended in cars or other vehicles.

Ensure that all windows and are closed and all doors are locked.

Ensure that your alarm/immobiliser is set.

Do not leave property on view inside your vehicle.

Do not leave cash,  cred/debit cards or cheque books inside your vehicle.

Do not leave personal documents inside your car this could lead criminals to your home.

Stolen personal documents could also lead to identity theft.
