PARISH MASSES

Parish of St. Laurence O’Toole Roundwood & Moneystown – Christmas Masses

Thursday 24th   December – Christmas Eve:  First Mass – 6 pm – Roundwood.  Vigil Mass – 9 pm – Roundwood

Friday 25th December – Christmas Day: Mass 10 am – Moneystown, Mass 11.30 am – Roundwood

Saturday 26th   / Sunday 27th   December: Masses as Normal

Monday 28th & Tuesday 29th December: Mass 11 am NB – Roundwood (No Mass Wed or Thurs)

Friday 1st Jan 2021 – Mary, Mother of God – World Day of Peace: New Year’s Mass – 11 am – Roundwood

Saturday 2nd January / Sunday 3rd January 2021: Masses as Normal

Wednesday 6th January 2021 – Epiphany: Mass 10 am – Moneystown, Mass 11.30 am – Roundwood

Attendance at Ceremonies is subject to all Government guidelines in place at the time.   Please note a maximum of 50 will be allowed at any Mass.  

Places are assigned on a first come basis.  Hand and Respiratory Hygiene guidelines must be adhered to.  Masks must be worn and Social Distancing remains in place.

Being mindful of the Government restrictions on numbers allowed at Church gatherings, the Archbishop suggests that people and families could attend any of the services over the 12 days of Christmas, and he also encourages us to visit the Crib with our families during the days over Christmas time.

CHRISTMAS WILDLIFE MYSTERY CHALLENGE

Activity available daily between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday 23rd December to Tuesday 5th January (but not on Christmas Day!)

This family friendly activity consists of a treasure hunt style challenge to try and solve a spate of wildlife crimes in Glendalough. Can you solve all the clues and identify the Criminal Mastermind behind these dastardly deeds?

Collect your free map and challenge sheet from the National Park Information Office.

The activity should take no more than an hour to complete. (Some Detective Geniuses may be a lot faster!) Booking is not required.

 HISTORICAL JOURNAL

The 2020 Roundwood & District Historical & Folklore Society Journal is packed with great articles of local interest. It is now available for sale in the following places; in Roundwood – Keeley’s Hardware, Centra, Keith Grant Butchers, Sugar Mountain Cafe; in Laragh at Mc Coy’s Store and Filling Station; In Newtown at the Post Office and Eugene’s Stores and in Wicklow at Bridge Street Books. It is also journal available to purchase on line, via the website www.roundwoodhistoricalsociety.ie .

ALONE, the organisation that supports older people is operating a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in Ireland. ROUNDWOOD CANCER SUPPORT
