Siel Bleu Ireland|Free Online Exercises for Over 55s
Siel Bleu is a not for profit organisation.
They provide life enhancing exercise programmes for older adults and patient groups.
Pre COVID-19, they provided very successful in-person classes at Shoreline Leisure.
Siel Bleu will soon be providing an Online 12 Week Exercise Course.
The class is open to anyone over 55 who can access Zoom.
Trainers will contact each person before the course to explain the programme.
The class has a maximum number of 12 participants.
Registration is first come, first served.

Frances Browner|Costa Short Story Awards
Congratulations to Frances Browner, local author and poet.
Frances received a Special Commendation for her short story, Little Palm Tree.
Frances came within the top eight out of a field of 2,000 entries !!
Frances is well known locally for her work with local writing classes.
She includes poetry in her sessions, as well as fiction.
Frances recently curated a well received poetry competition, My Greystones.
Competition was sponsored by Greystones’ Whale Theatre.
Poetry entries were displayed on Theatre Lane, Greystones.
And on sites around the town.
Well done, Frances !!

Greystones Gardaí Elderly Register
Greystones Gardaí have register of older people who might need help or be at risk.
This register is useful for emergencies so that the Guards who might be vulnerable.
Are you elderly or do you know some who is elderly ??
Please make sure they are on the Register.

Special arrangements are in place for collections of pensions.
You can nominate a Temporary Agent to collect your pension for you.
Special forms are available at Greystones Post Office, Meridian Point Centre.
This is a very helpful and useful service.

WCC has a very useful contact number for those who need assistance during pandemic.
Over a dozen agencies and organisations are involved in helping.
Help can be given for deliveries of groceries, medicines and fuels.
In some instances, there can be transport to test centres.
The aim is ensure that vulnerable members of the Community are protected.
Helpline is open seven days a week, 8 am to 8 pm.

Volunteers to help with this service are welcome at the Free Phone number.
