Big Thank You

Fredireich’s Ataxia Research Alliance(FARA) Ireland are delighted to report that the West Wicklow and KIldare areas supported the Christmas card fundraiser for Friedreich’s Ataxia again this year. As a result €1,750 has gone directly to a research project for Friedreich’s Ataxia.

Many thanks to all the outlets who took the Christmas cards Whelans Pharmacy, Health Centre and Centra in Dunlavin, O’Keeffe’s Store in Donard, Daly’s shop in Hollywood, The Stationary Store in Blessington, Murphy Sherrin Veterinary Baltinglass, Berney’s Pharmacy, Kilcullen. Many thanks to all who promoted the cards in those outlets and to you who bought the cards.

FARA Ireland have been in touch directly with the AMerican Friedreich’s Ataxia organisation  and many thanks to all those who recently supported their bid to have a drug which has proven to be of some benefit in Freidreihc’s Ataxia approved for use in Friedreich’s Ataxia in USA. The hope is that if it is approved for use in the USA, the pharmaceutical company would then look for approval for use in Europe.

The Kearney Family in Dunlavin are very grateful to all for their help in all this work
