SYMPATHY
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Roy Douglas, Knocknalour/Tallagh who died recently and was buried on Wednesday in Kilrush cemetery.


MARRIAGE
Congratulations to Kerrie Young, Bolinrush and Roy Sweeney, Bunclody, who were married recently in Canada.


GAA LOTTO
Carnew GAA lotto was not won numbers were 8,12,20,22, lucky dips were Aoife Darcy and Emma and Jack Doyle.

The next draw is 10th May and the jackpot is €8,000, tickets can be bought on line or in any of the local shops.


GET WELL

PREMATURE BABIES
A sincere thank you to everyone who is knitting/crochet blankets, cardigans, hats, mitts and bootees for the premature babies.

Laura Young from Crumlin came last week and collected these items and was delighted with the amount of items that she collected and she said that the joy these give to mothers is unbelievable, she said it’s a small bit of comfort to mothers who’s babies are born premature.

Keep up the great work, it is truly appreciated. God bless all the hands and the great work you produce.


ASKAMORE COMMUNITY COUNCIL

We’ve been really busy here behind the scenes while everything has been closed down, we’ve been preparing to open up with some really exciting new facilities!         

New digital classes & courses including learning about the basics of zoom, using social media for your business & digital marketing. This is with thanks to the mitigating against educational disadvantage fund #WWETB

New remote/working from home hub with hot desks, high speed wifi network & conference facilities    

Coffee Dock

Askamore Coffee Dock will be opening towards the end of May and will be serving delicious teas and coffees and will also have a selection of cold drinks & icecreams for the summer days (or winter, we won’t judge!) and you can sit down on our new picnic benches either at the hall or in the park while enjoying it

Askamore Mens Shed

Askamore Mens Shed, a place where men of all ages can come together in a safe environment to talk, to have a cup of tea, to learn new skills & meet new friends.

We are so excited with our new projects and we’re looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Carnew GAA are holding drive in bingos on Sunday 16th May at 2pm in the GAA grounds.Single book €10, double €15, baby €5.  1 line €30, two lines €50, full house €100, every 3rd page €200, Jackpot sheet €3 or two for €5, 1 line €50, two lines €100, full house €500.

Split The Pot

The lucky winner of our Split the Pot draw who won €275 was Keith Doyle. Congratulations Keith.

The winner of our sellers draw  was Serena House who won a €10 voucher for Victors and the lucky dip winner was Chloe Collins.
