GREG (Glenmalure Rural Energy Group) host Community Energy Information Events on Thursday 10th June 2021 (Part 1) and Thursday 17th June 2021 (Part 2), both at 7.30pm on Zoom. Registration required by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org

Part 2 – Thursday 17th June at 7.30pm explains RENEWABLE ENERGIES BIOMASS & GRANTS AVAILABLE.
These evenings will feature videos from local people outlining their energy upgrade stories. These stories will highlight the pros and cons of the different renewable energy technologies, such as PV panels and Heat Pumps, as well as discussing retrofitting and upgrading the energy efficiency of local homes.
There will be a panel of professionals including an SEAI technical expert helping to answer questions and providing some guidance with the plans that GREG might have going forward. Grants available for homes and for local community buildings will be discussed in detail and a plan to access more funding to upgrade the energy efficiency of local community buildings is high on GREG’s agenda (such as the Better Energy Community grants scheme).
Glenmalure Rural Energy Group (GREG) will launch the local Energy Master Plan report from 3 Counties Energy Agency (3CEA). 3CEA completed an Energy Master Plan for the Glenmalure, Ballinaclash, Greenan area and its environs after GREG, in conjunction with Wicklow County Council, secured funding through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) via its Sustainable Energy Communities (SEC) programme. At the Community Energy Information evenings participants can learn how to use this plan to start their own energy journey.
There is a chance to win a free BER for your home (worth €200) by joining the zoom event on either nights (June 10th and/or June 17th at 7.30pm). Registration required by emailing email@example.com
