Local chef Eoin Murtagh turned his COVID 19 blues into an opportunity when he opened Murt’s on South Quay Arklow at the end of March this year. Thanks to the support from the people in Arklow Murt’s has gone from strength to strength with Eoin receiving hugely positive feedback to his street food offering on South Quay. This weekend Eoin continues to breathe new life into South Quay When Murt’s host their first every Farmer’s Market on Saturday 22nd May.
Thankfully it looks as though we’re going to get a reprieve from the rain on Saturday as the people of Arklow have an opportunity to attend this unique event which will featuring artists, crafts and food producers to The Boatyard location to exhibit their wares. This will include Pebble Art, Vegetables, Sourdough breads, Marshmallow Smore Kits, Lambs Wool, Essential Oils, rhubarb, Window Boxes, Hanging Baskets, Dog food/treats, Decorations, Cards, Arts, Crafts, Skin Balms and Oils. Of course visitors can also enjoy the delicious breakfast and lunch options from Murt’s hugely popular menu whilst their checking out the various products on offer.
Murt’s Farmer’s Market opens on South Quay this Saturday 10th May from 10.30 – 3.30, there is no cover charge and parking is free on the quays. All are welcome to attend.
