Summer Solstice|Mid Summers Day|June 21 2021

Summer Solstice in Ireland will take place on Monday,  21 June 2021 at 4.32 am.

This will be the longest day of the year.

After next Monday,  our days in Ireland will begin to get shorter again.

Irish Gerontological Society Public Lecture|24 June 2021| 3 pm to 4.30 pm.

Ageing in Place:  The Danish Experience

Fabulous lecture with a diverse panel of national thought leaders and stakeholders.

Over 30 years ago,  the Danes began replacing nursing homes and to help people stay at home.

The panel will contribute towards addressing issues raised and questions asked.

Glen Road will be closed from 28 June 2021 to 30 July 2021.

Road closure is necessary to facilitate laying of a water main.

Twenty four hour road closure with no through road.

Local businesses and residents will have access on one side of the works.

Wicklow County Council apologies for any inconvenience.
