Special Notes from Community Gardaí About Spam Automated Calls

Spam automated calls being received with a Caller ID similar to Gardaí mobile numbers.

These calls may even display the name of a known contact if the number is saved.

The automated calls say that they are from An Garda Síochána.

They advise that there is an issue with PPS number or that the phone has been blocked.

The user is then asked to press a number on their phone to resolve the issue.

These calls are NOT from An Garda Síochána !!

The Guards do not use automated calling services to inform of issues or deal with the public.

If you receive one of these calls,  you should hang up immediately.
