Visitors reminded to leave nothing only footprints

Representatives of An Garda Siochána, Wicklow County Council, Coillte, National Parks and Wildlife Service and the Pure Project met today to discuss plans for the upcoming bank holiday weekend.

The common message was that visitors are very welcome to Wicklow and the hope is that everyone will enjoy their visit to the beautiful areas Wicklow has to offer.

Each of the stakeholders ask that everyone be respectful when parking, camping and leaving. Leave nothing behind but footprints and take nothing away but good memories.

Please make use of all the car parks available (mostly free) and comply with yellow lines and no parking signs to ensure emergency services can access all areas to ensure your safety.

Parking is now available at Magheramore.

Look around before leaving your car to see if you are likely to cause obstruction.

Tow wagons will be in use to remove all vehicles causing any issues for the free movement of traffic. Have a great safe weekend.
