GAA News

Aughrim GAA would like to extend their sympathy to the Murray family on the passing of Pat. Pat’s son Jack is a key member of our hurling team. We also extend our sympathy to the O’Brien family on the passing of Peggy. May both Peggy and Pat rest in peace.  Our Junior hurling team have had two great results to begin their campaign this year. They had wins over Knockananna and Eire Óg. They beat Knockananna on a score line of 3-19 to 0-7 and beat Eire Óg 8-22 to 2-12. We would like to wish Knockananna the best of luck for the rest of the year in their first year of hurling.   Our Junior A football team won their first competitive game of the year against Hollywood on a score line of 0-15 to 0-7. It was great to start off the season with a win. The team played very well on the night and we wish them luck against Avoca in their next game.
