Syrian Children Clothing and Toiletries Appeal|18 to 25 July 2021

Last chance to help the children in Syria and to help a good cause !!

Please,  all items to be in good condition.


  • Clothing for all genders,  ages 3 to 16.
  • Hats and scarves.
  • Shoes tied together with their size noted.
  • Towels and underwear.

Toiletries|Small Bag with the Following

  • Toothbrush and toothpaste.
  • Hairbrush
  • Personal hygiene items.
  • Soap
  • Face cloths.

Drop Off

  • Drop off at Kilian House Family Centre,  behind Holy Rosary Church.
  • Closes Friday,  23 July,  9 am to 1 pm.
  • Designated drop off points at the back of churches.
  • Holy Rosary,  St. Kilian’s Blacklion,  Kilcoole,  Kilquade,  NTMK on Sunday,  25 July.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection 2021 on Saturday,  24 July

Greystones Park and Ride,  10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Much of what we throw in our bins is actually hazardous waste. 

Please do not throw out any of the following and safely store them for the hazardous waste collection.

Paints and solvents;  fertilizers;  pesticides & poisons;  waste medicines;  adhesives, inks and resins;  caustic soda and waste oils; 

drain cleaners,  cleaning agents and detergents;  photographic chemicals;  oven cleaners;  shoe polishes.

These collections are for householders only. 

The collection is carried out by a private contractor on behalf of Wicklow County Council.

Space is limited for each type of waste product.

It is not always possible to predict how much of each type of waste will be brought to the collection.

Please do not leave waste materials outside of collection times.

Fines for littering will be issued.

  • Receive Mr. Brian O’Regan,  Whale Theatre, regarding culture centre.
  • Receive WCC Housing officials regarding age friendly housing.
  • Receive update on facilities to be provided by Cairn Homes.
  • Report from GMD engineer.

  1. Members of the public and media may be present at a remote meeting of Greystones Municipal District
  1. Attendees must comply with Greystones Municipal District Standing Orders and Supplementary Standing Orders to Regulate Remote Meetings.
  1. Members of the media and public shall give prior notice of a request to join an online meeting of Greystones Municipal District.
  1. Requests must be emailed to no later than 12 noon on the day of the meeting.   A name and email address is required.
  1. The link to the meeting is for the recipient only and must not be forwarded on to any other person(s).
  1. Attendees must maintain silence and observe any directions given by the Cathaoirleach or by an official of the Council.  Microphones must be kept on mute at all times.
  1. Members of the public and the media do not have the right to speak, any interruptions or endeavours to interrupt will result in the remote connection being terminated.
  1. No recording of the meeting and its proceedings by any person in attendance (elected members, media or members of the public) is permitted.

Opening hours are 10 am to 5 pm.

Late opening on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 8.30 pm.

King of Greystones Triathlon|25 July 2021

The King of Greystones Triathlon will take place this Sunday,  25 July 2021.

Registration for the event is now closed.

However donations are most welcome,  in aid of Gavin Glynn Foundation.

King of Greystones 2021 – Charity Triathlon – Greystones, Co.Wicklow in aid of The Gavin Glynn Foundation

To facilitate the event,  the following roads will be closed from 7 am to 11 am:

Park Lane,  Portland Road to St. Vincent Road,  St. Vincent Road to Old Mill Road.

This is a major annual event on the Greystones Calendar.
