Aughrim notes week August 23rd

Aughrim Community Group

At the Aughrim community Group Meeting held recently, it was stated that the Committee had been awarded a grant of €4,000.00, funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development under the Community Enhancement Programme.  This grant is conditional on the grant being used by December 31st, 2021.  Also, it was stated that a grant of €400.00 had been awarded from Wicklow County Council;

under the Council’s Community Grants Scheme, which is conditional on the grant being used by January 31st. 2022.  The notification of these grants was warmly welcomed by the Committee.  There is a great group of Volunteers doing work each week, as you may have noticed, but there is a need for more.  So if you wish to join this group it would be appreciated as the necessary work will need to be carried out by the above dates in order to utilise this funding for the community of Aughrim.  Please help if you can.

Lotto

The numbers: 4, 5, 17 and 18 were drawn in the Aughrim Sports Club Lotto on Monday August 23rd.  The jackpot was not won.  There was one match three winner: Josie O’Byrne, Cronawinna.  The jackpot for Monday August 30th will be €2750.   People now have the facility to do the Aughrim Sports Club lotto online.  Just go to clubforce.com Aughrim Sports club lotto and take it from there.  The weekly lotto supports Aughrim Camogie Club, Aughrim GAA club, Aughrim Rangers Soccer club and Aughrim sports complex.
